Bituminous primer for roof coverings, protective layer and/or adhesive coating for metal, concrete, stone and wood for spraying.
The sandroplast Super Primer for spraying ensures excellent adhesion and deep anchoring for subsequent hot or cold liquid adhesive coatings, topcoats and bitumen-based coatings as well as for all bitumen membranes. The innovative spray application enables efficient and uniform processing. Ideal and high-quality primer for structural and roof waterproofing.
The sprayable primer is versatile and suitable for all common mineral substrates as well as for substrates with residues of bitumen coatings or bitumen roofing membranes. The sandroplast Super Primer itself has no sealing effect without using another product for waterproofing.
The sandroplast Super Primer meets the requirements of DIN 18 195, Part 2, Table 4.1 No. 2, as well as AIB DS 835, Appendix II, Column 3. This product is characterized by a particularly short drying time. Depending on weather and substrate conditions, the primer is already dry in less than 10 minutes. Under optimal conditions, the drying time can be further reduced. With its excellent adhesion on various substrates, the sandroplast Super Primer ensures a reliable and permanent connection.
The product is applied through the innovative spray application, which enables particularly uniform processing.
Thanks to its low viscosity and excellent penetration capability, the sandroplast Super Primer penetrates deep into porous and absorbent substrates, binds dust and loose particles, and balances different absorbencies. These properties make it an ideal bonding agent for subsequent bitumen products.
In addition to its specific advantages, the sandroplast Super Primer offers general properties that underline its versatility. It not only improves the stability of the substrate, but also reliably protects metallic substrates from corrosion. The primer is frost and UV resistant and shows high resistance to weather influences such as rain or temperature fluctuations after curing.
All substrates must be firm, load-bearing and free from separating substances such as release agents, dust or dirt.
There are two simple methods to check the condition of the substrate: The wipe test - Wipe your hand or a clean cloth over the substrate. No components should detach from the substrate and your hand should remain clean. The scratch test - This method is used to determine sinter layers or hollow areas on otherwise solid substrates, which must be professionally removed.
The substrate must be free from burrs or sharp-edged irregularities such as mortar, concrete protrusions or stone offsets. Protruding edges and depressions must be removed. In addition, the substrate must be textured and absorbent. For solvent-based bitumen coating materials, a dry substrate is required.
Before the subsequent layers are applied, the primer must be completely dried or ventilated.
The sandroplast Super Primer is applied by spraying. The freshly applied primer must be protected from heavy rain, as it could otherwise be damaged or washed off.
Before the subsequent coating can be applied, the sandroplast Super Primer must be sufficiently dried or ventilated. A dry, clean, load-bearing and grease-free substrate is a prerequisite for optimal adhesion of the subsequent layers.
IMPORTANT: For outdoor use only! The processor is obliged to check the suitability and application possibilities for the intended purpose.
Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, consumption is approx. 0.2 to 0.3 l/m².
